Q&A

How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging since 2016.

What inspired you to launch your blog?

Watching my families health I already had plans to do something to be more active not just for myself but for others. So after years of planning I finally took the leap of faith and did it.

When wearing foundation do you prefer powder or liquid? Why?

I like liquid foundation, I don’t use it often but I always felt like you could go further with liquid by hiding blemishes.   Mostly controlling how natural you can still be without clumping so much on, It’s an art.

What is your favorite skin care line? Why?

I’m not stuck down to one brand really, I’m obsessed with fenty beauty’s fat water. I love the fact that it hydrates your skin and my dark spots have disappeared since I’ve been consistent with it. Farmacy Beauty for their eye cream, it helps on my busy days when I miss sleep and end up with bags under my eyes. My cleansers are never consistent, I change through the seasons depending on what my skin needs.

What would you say are three qualities of being a good friend? Three qualities in any good friendship would be communication which leads to trust, support and most importantly selflessness. Knowing that’s it’s always not about one person all of the time, celebrate one another.

What is one makeup product that you cannot live without? Why?

It’s not really a makeup product but a savior. I have to have apple cider vinegar anywhere and everywhere. Especially because of Covid-19 with wearing masking on all of the time. If I have nothing else I have it with me to cleanse my face and get rid of all of the pimples that came to visit me. Also if my skin is dried out from my eczema.

Healthy Hair Hacks

Do you find it challenging to find the right products for your hair? Take some time out to give those strands some attention and wave those bad hair days goodbye.

Start a Routine

My first tip is to start a routine. Plan a weekly wash party on Saturdays. Do your regular roller round up every evening at the same time. Make an appointment for a monthly hot oil treatment or deep conditioning. You can help your hair remain healthy by showing it some love and affection on a consistent basis.

Hire a Stylist

Another thing that you can do to maintain your hair is to find a great hair stylist. Going to the salon gives you a feeling of renewal. It can be great to chat with your hairdresser, catch up on current events, and have some fun. Over time your beautician will get to know your hair and give you advice like when you need change your routine or try something new.

Find the Right Products

Believe it or not the products do make a difference. It can be hard to find just the right shampoo, conditioner, moisturizers, and hair sprays. You can always ask around and find out what other people are using. You can also read reviews online and see what other women recommend. There are thousands of reviews on websites and social media. Find out what works best for your hair and stick with it.

Invest in a Good Blow Dryer

I recently purchased a new blow dryer that is amazing. It came with four attachments and several temperature and speed settings. My blow-drying time was quickly reduced, and I noticed a major difference in my hair. I highly suggest getting a good blow dryer even if it costs a little more.

No matter what your lifestyle is, it is always important to take some time out for self-care. Most of us put hair at the bottom of the list when it comes to upkeep. But if you love your hair – you will love your hair.
