This year, it’s all about embracing vibrant colors, capturing the essence of summer fun, and looking effortlessly chic. Brighten up our beauty routine with these new makeup trends.

Colored Mascara

Remember mascara in shades blue, purple, and green? 

Colored mascara is making a comeback and it’s an easy way to add a pop of color to your eyes. Elevate your look with bold lashes and nude or soft pink lipstick. A touch of highlighter on the cheeks will complement this look perfectly. 

In Cosmopolitan, makeup artist Amrita Mehta talked about using three layers of blue mascara to create an opaque look. Now that sounds daring! There are no rules to looking beautiful this summer. Now this trend really captures the vibrant hues of the summer. Pick your favorite shades of pink, orange, gold, and purple and paint the sky! Start with a base of soft, warm gold on the inner corners. Gradually blend bright orange across the lid. Add a rich pink or magenta to the outer corners. For depth, use a deep purple in the crease and lower lash line.

The American Academy of Dermatology says “mind body practices can help regulate your stress response…” That’s why it’s important to take a break from our daily hustle and bustle to talk about some serious self-love and self-care tips. You may be the queen of multitasking, but you deserve a little pampering to keep stress at bay.

Here are a few simple ways to manage stress: 

#1 Show Yourself Some Love

Don’t feel so guilty about getting a pedicure or spraying a little extra perfume on. Care for yourself until your heart’s content. It’s just a way of giving  yourself a pat on the bag or a big hug. And like the song says “Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all”. 

#2 Make Exercise a Priority

There is nothing like some straight up endorphins to put stress at ease. Run, walk, kickbox, or twerk it out. Or maybe add a little zen to your life with some yoga. It always feels like a task, but once the workout is done you’ll feel the difference. 

#3 Find Your Chill 

Maybe it’s music? Maybe is a movie or cooking up something healthy in the kitchen? Maybe even calling your best friend? Or meditation? Whatever it may be that works for you. Just remember to do more of what makes you happy and find your vibe.
