This Timeless Halloween Makeup Look is Spooooky

If you are a fan of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, you may of heard of me?

I am the Queen of Halloween Town.

You can meet me at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or dance with me at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

I was created by Dr. Finkelstein and married Jack Skellington, the Halloween King.

Who am I?

My name is Sally Skellington, and I am The Pumpkin Queen. I made my first appearance in the top selling book and sequel “Long Live the Pumpkin Queen”, but these days you can find me on Instagram, Youtube, Tik Tok and at a Halloween party near you.

That’s right, I started this infamous look and the Halloween Pumpkin Makeup look is still going strong today…

If you’re looking to create your own modern version of the timeless pumpkin face makeup look, here are a few tips that’ll earn you the crown:

Scary Pumpkin Face Makeup

Start with an orange base using face paint or a cream pigment. Deepen your features by shading around the eyes, cheekbones, and nose with black and brown shadow. Add jagged black triangles for eyes and a sharp-toothed grin to complete the eerie look. A touch of red or dark brown smudged around the mouth adds a haunting, “freshly carved” effect.

Glam Pumpkin Face Makeup

For a chic twist, blend metallic orange and gold shadows across your face for a glowy pumpkin hue. Use black eyeliner to outline elegant, carved designs, and add shimmer to the lids and cheekbones. Top it off with false lashes and a glossy orange or black lip. Pair with gold accessories for extra sparkle.

Cute Pumpkin Face Makeup

Prefer a look that’s soft and sweet? Apply a peachy-orange base and a rosy blush. Add small black triangles for a mini jack-o’-lantern look. Outline your designs with white liner for a cartoon effect. Add a few freckles, a bit of glitter, and a heart-shaped nose for a playful finish.

Clown Pumpkin Face Makeup

To create a pumpkin face look with a more humorous vibe, start with a an orange base. Exaggerate the eyes with black liner and paint a rounded nose. Add long, curved “cracks” or lines down the face to mimic pumpkin ridges. Finish with a wide, toothy grin and dramatic lashes for a creepy but cute clown pumpkin look.

The pumpkin face makeup look is still a Halloween classic that can be fun, spooky, and creative. There is a pumpkin style for every mood and a crown for every Halloween Queen!
