5 Social Media Tools That Really Work

One thing that I have learned about social media marketing is that it is always changing. Sites like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Snap Chat are always doing something new. Influencers and experts rant and rave about new algorithms, features, and functions and social media marketers ride the wave onto the next thing. It can be challenging to keep up with it all and even more difficult to sift through the tips and trends to find out what works. I learned a lot about social media management in school, but it is always exciting to check out recent trends. I took some time to take a peek at the latest developments in the social media marketing world and discovered some good stuff.

There are some great new tools for Content and Automation

As far as content is concerned, I found a few resources that make it easy to create content that your audience will relish. Ivory Mix and Pixi Stock impressed me with amazing stock photos with a variety of color schemes and appealing backgrounds. I used to have a hard time finding diverse photos in the past, but Pixi Stock gives you a great selection if you aren’t able to hire a photographer to create your own custom photos.

Regarding content planning I must say that I have used several apps to plan content, but I really liked Tail Wind. The app design is seamless. It allows you to easily measure social media activity. You can automate posts, review hashtag performance, and see what posts people like the most. It also gives you recommendations for scheduling posts. There are a myriad of quality content planning apps to choose from like Planoly, Plann, and Preview, but I would definitely give this one a try.

Words are still everything.

As a former copywriter, I learned a lot about keywords and search engine optimization years ago. It was nice to see that keywords are still very important when it comes to social media marketing and blogging. I took a peak at the Stupid Simple SEO site for a quick refresher. Mike Pearson was the truth and had some really great insights.

Email marking can compliment blogging and social media marketing, but sometimes it can be intimidating. Tools like Convert Kit make it easy to create emails to engage your followers. This site shares some really great tips and videos to help you get started. In just a few clicks, you can easily promote your brand with Convert Kit.

Instagram offers even more options to interact with friends.

I must admit I have been a little scared of trying out new Instagram tools. I am not that into doing videos, but everyone has been talking about how much video content performs so well for a long time. A lot of social media influencers gave good reviews on Reels — I might just be inspired to give it a try. It is not technically a new feature, but according to social media expert Christina Galbato, Reels is still a popular way to grow your Instagram audience.

I could spend hours clicking away on the internet checking out new social media marketing trends. One thing is for sure – everybody has their own way of doing things online and their preferred way to do it.
