Wet and Wavy Hair Style Review

When I was younger, I was fearless about trying new hairstyles. I tried half wigs, braids, twists, natural styles, and more. In the most recent years, I’ve been satisfied with natural looking body wave extensions. I’ve gathered all the right tools to maintain this style. I tried a few edge control creams and wondered whether or not it is mandatory for me to participate in baby hair rituals. I’ve also questioned whether or not I would like a frontal. I’m not quite as daring with my hairstyles as I used to be, but I recently found a few trendy styles that add some excitement to my style.

Wet and Wavy Hair Style

Most recently I tried a curly look. I literally purchased this hair about six months ago and kept making up excuses about why I shouldn’t install it. I wanted to have a professional look. I didn’t know if it would look too bold or gaudy on me. I didn’t know if my hair would blend in with the extensions or how to wear the “wet look.” I finally tried the wet and wavy hair this summer and was surprised at how easy it became to maintain this style. It was low maintenance and seemed to fit the summer vibe. Next time, I think I’ll get a nice haircut so that I can try out a dry kinky curly look. It also made me get into edge control more and I think I found one that I really like. I can’t say that I’ll wear this style frequently, but it was fun!

Trying a New Style

The next hairstyle will be straight extensions with a middle part. I swear by the good ole side part. I just don’t feel like the middle part frames my face. I tried it and just really didn’t like it, but I’ve decided to give it another try. I used to wear my hair with a middle part when I was younger, but my face was fatter. I think if I can pull the hair behind my ears and make it look more natural then I may like it more.

Back to the Basics

Ultimately, I am most likely to go back to my typical look. I’ve pondered braids but that’s as far as I’ve gotten with that. The body waves are fun to style every day. Even when you wear it pressed straight, it seems to have more volume without being too gaudy, and it’s easy to roll up and wrap at night. Now that I’ve found an edge control, I may be able to perfect this look.

What’s next?

Highlights, color, a professional haircut, or a silk press maybe.
